A MUSICAL ARTIST FOR ALL OCCASIONS

WHAT THE HELL IS CABARET?!

Still drawn to the lights of Broadway they dreamed of years ago as theater majors, two budding friends, Linda Kahn and Maria Corsaro decide to take the plunge and start singing again. They sign up for a master class to figure out how to get back in the business; what they discover along the way is that there are many roads to creative expression and one of them is called ‘cabaret’.

The duo first presented “What the Hell is Cabaret?!” this past fall. The show is a fun and lighthearted response to the perennial question put to those in the business of cabaret. One part musical theatre.  One part cabaret. A whole lot of fun!

Making his directorial debut and also music directing the performance is Kenneth Gartman, with Tom Hubbard on bass and Matt VanderEnde on drums. The show features standards such as “I’ve Got the Sun in the Morning,” “Hey Look Me Over” and “What Are You Doing for the Rest of Your Life”, along with pop tunes and musical theatre numbers: “No More Tears” by Paul Jabara and Bruce Roberts, “Secondhand White Baby Grand” by Marc Shaiman and Scott Witmann and “Die Vampire, Die!” from Title of Show by Jeff Bowen and Susan Blackwell.
